Jody knows her stuff! I attempted to sell my home as FSBO. Jody came in with a non-nonsense, honest approach and was willing to help me get my home sold quickly (which was necessary because I was getting married in 2 short months and needed to be in Milwaukee ASAP) as well as retain as much of my equity as possible.

Right from the start Jody worked with me to figure out a realistic selling price that I was comfortable with. She went above and beyond to help me prepare my house for showings and open houses.

Most importantly, Jody kept me “in the loop” throughout the entire process. This was not easy, as I was travelling overseas and in difficult to reach places! I was impressed not only with how accessible she was but how easy she made it for me to reach her even though I was out of town and out of the country during the process.

Jody let me know, to the best of her professional opinion, how long it would take to get my home sold.  Not only did she get it sold…she sold it in less time than the market statistics said it would! I couldn’t have sold my house as quickly as she did. And, I’m convinced I would not have been able to retain as much equity as I did without Jody’s expertise.

I met Jody Nibbe in March of this year (2009) when I found a condo on the internet that I wanted to look at. I called the listing agent (who happened to be Jody) and set up a time to view the condo. I decided that condo was not what I was looking for, and looked at a couple of others on the internet. Because Jody had checked in with me on a regular basis, I asked her about them and she gave me information that I, being a first time home buyer, didn’t even think about asking for (like tax information, etc). Because she had already gone above and beyond what any other Realtor^® I talked to had, I decided to hire her to represent my interests as a buyer. Soon after, I gave her another listing I fell in love with (or thought I had). We looked at it and she pointed out a few concerns she had with it, and then told me she thought I should look at some others before making a final decision. We went on a couple of house hunting trips, and I soon discovered she was very diligent and reliable with her assessment of the properties – such as: resale value, condition, correct market pricing, etc. Jody was able to find the perfect home for me because she knew my needs and made them a priority. Our second day out previewing homes, we stepped into a place I truly loved and knew the second I walked through the door Jody had found my new home.

I met with Jody a few days later to write an offer. Because of Jody’s strong negotiating skills, not only was the offer accepted the very next day, I was very pleased with the terms and price.   I would have thought that Jody’s job was all but over, but she continued to jump through hoops for me when it came to the tricky FHA financing process and the short time frame I had to work with. I truly believe that if it wasn’t for Jody, I would not be enjoying the home of my dreams right now.  My FHA financing was stalled and Jody spent hours on the phone getting to the head of the FHA office to get the condo project approved for financing. She is much more knowledgeable and diligent than all the other agents I talked with (and I talked to quite a few before I hired her).

What stands out most for me is that you can really tell Jody wants to do more than just sell you a property. She genuinely wants the process to be stress free for her client.. She listens to your needs and makes them her top priority. I am very lucky to have stumbled on to her. I invite you to call me with any questions about my experience with Jody.
